| > About Us > People Prime Vector was founded by two entrepreneurs who have a combined 50 years of improving manufacturing operations through strategic sourcing and lean manufacturing principles. David Ritland, PE Prior to forming Prime Vector, David was the VP of Global Operations for Xymox Technology where he led the company’s production ramp up in Vietnam. David also served as the GM & COO of HARTING Manufacturing for 4 years integrating HARTING’s US and China operations. David has over 15 years of experience in leading lean manufacturing efforts within the industry leading companies of Ingersoll- Rand, S&C Electric and General Motors. David graduated from Iowa State University and holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business. David is a licensed Professional Engineer. In 2007 Dave sold his share of the Prime Vector to Tom Mazza to pursue other interests. Tom Mazza, Managing Partner Tom partnered with Dave Ritland in late 2004 and brings a wealth of industrial and commercial experience. He started his first 11 years at Westinghouse Electric Corporation in sales and distributor development roles moving into WESCO where he was Branch Manager in the Chicago area. From there, he worked in successively responsible roles for Telemecanique (now under Schneider Electric) where he progressed from Marketing Manager to General Product Marketing Manager and finally onto Region Manager where he was responsible for sales, customer service, application engineering and the Midwest regional warehouse. From there, Tom went on to work for IDEAL INDUSTRIES handling the Central Sales Division and then shifting back to headquarters to take on roles of Marketing & Sales Manager for OEM, Production Tool, and Datacom Groups. He most recently served as North American General Manager for the Industrial Division of Harting Electric who specializes in connectors and cable assemblies. Tom graduated from Marquette University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a MBA in Marketing from DePaul University. Susan Sun Hong Kong Ms. Sun is a multi-talented manager with more than 10 years of experience in establishing and managing subsidiaries of multi-national companies in China. Throughout her career, she been able to sustain the right balance between a western oriented management style and the Asian culture. For six years, Ms. Sun served as the Plant Operations Manager for HARTING, a leading global connector manufacturer. Prior to joining HARTING, Ms. Sun actively and successfully contributed to the sales development of THYSSEN Elevator in China. As a member of the key management team, she ensured the professional execution of all sales projects and project timelines. Throughout her ten years of work experience, Ms. Sun has obtained a profound engineering knowledge of elevators, connectors and cables assemblies. Ms. Sun holds a bachelor degree in engineering from Shanghai University. |
